My friends did a fabulous thing. They came out to support me when I needed them, at my half marathon. I thought, what better way to help repay them than to be there for them. They are some of my closest friends and have been since college. Amanda and Amy have been preparing for the Nashville Rock and Roll Half Marathon for about 12-13 weeks. Our training programs were nearly side by side. They chose this one because it was supposed to be nice and flat. Um, no. It was neither! It was hot and hilly! But they made it though at a very fast pace. I was so proud of them and happy I could be there to help cheer them on! We had a fabulous hotel and Amanda hooked us up with some fine cuisine. And at night, Amy and Michael got a little country in me. Congrats Amy and Amanda!

All Aboard
Grandpa Jon's train came through Atlanta this morning on the way from DC to New Orleans. They had a 30 min stop over so Millie, Milo and Mat got to see him some of his coworkers and the private office car they were traveling in. Millie even learned to say All Aboard!

Disclaimer
So, you all know I love taking photographs of my kids. Other kids. Other people. My friends. My family. For this personal blog, I have decided not to edit every single picture I post on this blog. Yes, it would make them look fabulous. Yes, it would allow you all to print a pretty picture on your printers on non-photo paper (wink wink). However, a little crop here. And a little edit there. It can be just too time consuming. I enjoy practicing editing on my favorite people however, it really takes up too much of my time.
That being said. It would be an absolute honor to have one of my pictures hanging in your home. Really! Ask any photographer! When you see your pictures in print or on someone's wall, it brings such happiness! So, if you see a picture that you like, do not hesitate to tell me! Send me an email or a comment! I would love to crop it, edit it and make it look amazing for you. I would be very happy to do that for you. I did recently change some settings to make them nice and big so you could see them a little better. Hope you like that!
And as always, you are more than welcome to leave any comments you wish. There is a place to do that just below each post. It's nice to know that people are looking/reading!

Listening to them read
When the girls were visiting, Millie was typically the first one up and would gently nudge Courtney to get her up. Over the baby monitor and IP cameras, we would hear and see Millie reading to Courtney. Or the other way around. It was absolutely the sweetest and funniest thing you have ever heard. My dad was trying to be a sneak pete by trying to catch one morning on video. Enjoy!

Memorized by the Dolphin show!

Millie and Courtney trying to very graphically describe the dolphin show to Mama D on the phone!

Milo was amazed

You can see Papa D and the kids all around him as he touches the huge manatee

Millie is right in the center, trying to take pictures with my iPhone

This picture would have been perfect if one of the beluga whales would have swam by!

Bounce House
Ever since Chloe & Kari came to visit a couple years ago, she has wanted to go back to a bounce house. Would I continue to be the best aunt in the world if I didn't take her again? So we all went. And boy did we have a great time! The kids were literally red in the face after just an hour. They kept going and going and going and were exhausted in just 1.5 hours. Let me just tell you, these inflatable are meant for kids. It is not so easy scaling an inflatable wall on little two inch wide steps! But even the adults had to take a turn. Anyway, click here to see all the pictures.
