Christmas in October?

It was chilly this night but this is a little crazy.

Milo is wearing Millie's old PJ's that are too small for him.

Millie is wearing a set of hand-me-downs PJ's that are supposed to be for Milo. Also too small for Millie. Despite the happy faces in this picture, both were too uncomfortable to sleep and Milo had unzipped and wiggled out of his soon after bedtime

I lay out M & M's clothes every night so Mat can easily get them dressed in the mornings. There is not much discussion about the outfits. Sometimes Millie prefers to wear a certain color and I accommodate. But 99.9% of the time, she wears whatever I lay out for her. We created a sticker chart for her. If she gets dressed, by herself, without crying, she gets a sticker. This weekend, Millie filled up her sticker chart (20 times) and we headed to Target so she could pick out a toy.



And then she did a Target "Tebow"


The other night I hadn't laid out clothes yet. We walked in to check on them before we went to bed and Millie had laid out her own outfit.


Complete with socks in her shoes.


And she had laid out Milos outfit.


But I added some peices for warmth


And just for fun, here they are sleeping

Bedtime stories?

Not really. Just watching a video from the Animal Safari trip. As nice as (I think) this blog is, I am fairly certain the kids don't know it exhists. I will share it with them one day. And years down the road, they might look back and enjoy seeing daily update about what they have been up to. Maybe not. Maybe in a fit of teenage rage, Millie will force me to take it down. But until then, I will keep blogging and sharing our lives with you.

This time it was Milo's turn. No nap and then he fell asleep in the car on the way to the Halloween party, then we woke him up and he was UNHAPPY!

Animal Safari

Millie had another field trip today. They went to Chastin Park which is in the Buckhead area.

Haircuts

Look who got a real haircut this weekend! Yes, I saved his hair from his Mom cut over the summer but this was an actual cut.He was such a good boy and looks adorable.

Disney (pics)

New Look?


So again with the Princess/Disney internal struggle. Sould we sell out to Disney? Sucome to the $24 baby dolls. The cheap dress up clothes. The box set of princess movies? And that is just for Millie! The only real word that Milo says clear as day (other than Mommy/Daddy) is "Mickey". Millie knows all the Disney princesses despite only seeing one actual Princess movie (the movie Tangled which she calls "Let My Hair Down"). It's a constant battle that we mom's have. Well, at least Katie and I have. But when you see the smiles on these kids faces, it is all worth it. Disney won this battle.

Thank you to Kelly and Karla for feeding into Millie's love of Ariel and buying her this dress/nightgown. Ariel is Millie's favorite Princess...other than "let my hair down" girl. I like to think it is because Ariel has red hair. Again, she has never seen the movie so how would she know!
