Beautiful Ugly / September Monthly Challenge (Blog Circle)

This months topic allowed me to take a minute and look at things I wouldn't normally look at or take pictures of. It wasn't as hard as I originally thought as I have two kids that pretty easily find some ugly stuff. But as I look at my pics from this month, I realize that most of my "ugly" are animals. Maybe I should have tried a bit harder and not gone the easy route of spiders, crabs and worms.

Everyone in our circle should post their September "Beautiful Ugly" postings by October 1. So come back on October 1 and check out Mary's blog and keep clicking till you make it all the way around!

Have you ever witnessed two 3 year olds playing football? Hilarious & sweet at the same time! EU8C1539 I am going to try and crop this picture so you can see the monarch butterflies. There must have been some sort of butterfly migration going on because hundreds were flying over our heads all weekend. EU8C1549 Jumping waves EU8C1576

Down by the docks

My mom asked for a horizontal photo of my kids (together) and with faces pretty close together. She wanted a new picture for her photo wall at home. Ok, no problem, right?
Untitled-1 So after we ordered our dinner at the restaurant, I took the kids down to play around on the docks...also known as "getting the picture that my mom wanted" EU8C1610 EU8C1624 They make each other laugh which I can't get enough of. ANCS Week 8

I have many teachers in my life and I know how hard they work. I honestly don't know how they have enough hours in the day. The blog that Millie's teachers keep is extra. They don't have to do it. They probably don't have the time to take the pictures, upload the pictures, post the pictures. I just hope they know the happiness these pictures bring to the families. I love finding out about what Millie is up to at school.

Here is Millie learning “I love you rituals” with Ms. Tottenham IMG_8470

Hilton Head Friday

My parents are in Hilton Head for the week. We joined them for a long weekend. It was Millie's first missed school day but she didn't worry. She knew they were "Wishing her Well". IMG_3339 IMG_3341 IMG_3344 EU8C1482 EU8C1484 EU8C1485 EU8C1491 EU8C1493 EU8C1500 We rode our bikes about 1.5 miles to dinner. We had some time as we waiting for a table so we grabbed some smoothies. How can you screw up smoothies? It is possible. These were actually really gross. IMG_3357 Night riding! She did a GREAT job! IMG_3365 IMG_3367
