Hanging in the Car with Mom/Dad
On Sunday, after a long morning of car shopping, Mom and Dad went to the High Museum of Art to see The Allure of the Automobile exhibit that was on display.
Mat, Millie and I went to the Kroger's parking lot! Ha! Actually, I had to go to the Sprint store near Kroger's and Mat & Millie were left to figure out how we can get access to our third row of seating and still have two car seats in the car. Yes, it took nearly two hours but we think we might not need a mini-van at this point!
Millie entertained herself in many ways. She is getting pretty good at her ABC's!

The waiting game
Seems like wherever we go to dinner, we seem have to wait. Such is life in the big city.

Good thing Millie loves to color. We are able to keep her entertained for the most part. If not with crayons then with food!
After dinner Mat took Millie and Mom, Dad and I went on a date night to the movies! Last date night in a while I am sure! We saw Knight and Day and really enjoyed it!

Surprise from Papa D!!!
On Saturday, Mom and I were laying around waiting for Millie to wake up from her long nap. Millie had just woken and I was getting her dressed for a birthday party that afternoon. There was a knock on the door and when I went to open it, there was a great surprise!! My DAD!
I must be the world easiest person to surprise because this is like the 5th time someone has given me a huge surprise by showing up at my doorstep!! Between, my girlfriends, Mat, my parents! I can't get enough!
He had left around 6am that morning and made great time (and great gas mileage)! After he heard that T2 might come earlier than planned, he didn't want to miss it. So he hopped in his car and skipped his basketball camp. It was great to see him! Millie went running right to him. Gotta love what webcams are doing to bring families together!

No more monkey's jumping on the bed!
She loves these books at bedtime. Either the 5 little monkey's are sitting a tree or jumping on the bed! She loves them both!
What's your name?
At school they are working on saying their full names. And telling if someone is a boy or a girl. Most of the time you ask her what her name is, she says "Meeeeeee-aaaaaaaa" which is what the kids call her at school. So we are working on the proper way to say Millie!
The Navarro's
We went to dinner with the Navarro's 4 and the Tainow's 3 and it actually went very smoothly! Here is some video coming home from dinner.
17 days and counting...
Are we ready? Probably not!
But we are a little bit more ready than before!
Mat built a retaining wall for our front flower left bed.
Mat and I (but mostly Mat) weeded and mulched all the flower beds in the front.
All the flowers, herbs, and veggies are planted.
The yard is looking great!

Baby stuff:
The crib is raised up
Sheets and blankets are washed
Baby gates are up
Cradle is ready
This weekend we picked up several baby items that we loaned out to others
I have baby boy clothes coming out the ying-yang from friends (Thank you friends!)
Only thing left is to ORGANIZE Millie and T2's room! Mom, are you here yet?
Millie is starting to identify items as hers and "baby brothers". It's quite cute. But how are we going to get her from staying out of the swing and excersaucer?
In this picture, check out the Beta fish that Mat picked up for Millie this weekend. She has temporarily named it Arjan...the name she has for everything.

Spitting the Stones

Swimming after hours
We were outside cleaning up after the Belmont party. Millie had put her swimming suit "on" and was out in the yard with us. I turn around, and she had gotten into the pool with all her clothes on! It was quite funny!
Run Charlie Run!
Well, he did run but he didn't win. Uptowncharliebrown is a race horse that Grandpa Jon owns a part of. He raced in the Belmont Stakes on Saturday and we had a little party to celebrate. The kids had fun in the pools out back. Too many cute videos to post so just click here for the pictures and the videos.
Birds
We hung a bird feeder outside of our kitchen window. A bright red cardinal found it the other day and was having a snack. I couldn't get my camera out quick enough to see the bird. Hopefully he will be back soon!

Quiet Mornings
Millie has been getting up recently, without a sound. Usually we hear her reading, playing, singing, or talking. But lately she has been getting out of bed without a sound, and checking things out around the room. Sometimes we find her sitting behind the door reading a book. Sometimes she is going through the books on her shelf. Sometimes we find her doing this...

Frog
Millie asks several times a day to play "frog" on Mat's iphone. It's a tile matching game that she has kinda gotten the hang of. I took this video the other day hoping to catch her matching the tiles. Hang in there, it's kinda long.

Millie hasn't been feeling well since Monday night. Since she had a fever and was puking, we kept her home on Tuesday just to make sure there was no more sickness. Despite feeling ill, she was actually pretty perky by the end of Tuesday. Enjoy the videos!
