Trick or Treating

Millie and Milo had a great time trick or treating...twice! We went for round one down at Meagan condo complex. Mike and Katie had scoped out which houses were and were not giving out the goods. Millie certainly had the hang of it by the 2nd or 3rd house. Only problem: she couldn't reach the doorbell! She would yell "Trick or Treat" when they opened the door. By the end sometimes she had to be reminded. I think her eyes got a little blurry with all the candy being shoved into her pumpkin. But boy did she have a good time collecting the goods for herself. Then collecting the goods for Meagan (the ballerina). Then collecting the goods for Zoe (the devil). Millie's old classmate Avery (Minnie Mouse) came along for the good times! Milo was a chill little man in his stroller just taking in the madness. Probably silently wondering how he is going to deal with all these girls when he grows a bit. The complex was the perfect place to ToT. No steps. No walking in the street. People were friendly and knew that we were coming. Can't wait till next year!

Round two was back at our house. We made a couple stops with our neighbor girl Reilly (Chiquita banana girl). This time we took the wagon because we weren't sure how tired the girls would get from walking around. We made it up and down to several streets before we decided to turn in. The girls really seemed to enjoy it and we enjoyed chatting with our neighbors. There are lots of pictures and videos. Click here to see the pictures and videos

Amy's Halloween Party

My good friend Amy had her 4th anniversary Halloween party on Oct 30. You may not know but Halloween is kind of a big deal for us Ohio University grads.

My whole family (mom, dad, sister) are all OU grads. As a third grader, I remember going to Court Street to see all the hoopla on Halloween. All dressed up myself, we sat curb side, watching the parade of costumes go by and really enjoying the show.

As college students, we dressed up in a variety of costumes over the years. We paraded our costumes up and down Court Street and laughed and laughed at the creativeness of our fellow classmates.

We have taken this tradition south. My old roommate and I had a Halloween party for years. Amy has now taken over the tradition. Enjoy the costumes for this year. I didn't bring my camera (SHOCKER) so here are Amy's pictures. Click here. Mat had to work so you won't see him in the pictures. The kids did great despite the late hour. Millie's belly full of skittles sure helped!

Halloween Music Class

Millie loooooooooooooove Music Class and this class was even more fun because the kids came in costume. Meagan was an adorable ballerina. Millie's favorite little boy Zachary was in a parrot costume that his momma made for him!

Meeting Ellis

Vince has a baby sister!!! Ellis Catherine Damico was born at 8:23pm at 7lbs 14oz. Everyone is doing great. We went to visit Ellis the other day. Click here to see the pictures.

The coat breakdown

Grandma Terry sent us this winter jacket for Millie to keep warm in the coming weeks. Hat and gloves were from Mama D. Millie tried the ensemble on and had a breakdown. I thought these pictures were funny. It's been 70 or 80 degrees around these parts. Can you believe it? Anyway, I will get a better picture of the jacket once the bigger size arrives. Thank you Grandma T!

Tainow and GG visit

92 years of love! It was so wonderful to have the fabulous GG come to visit. The kids love her and so do we! She is an amazing mother, grandmother and great-grandmother with so many stories to share. I always learn something great from her when we talk. We both mother so differently but yet the same. It is kinda hard to explain. And she spent most of the weekend in awe of how much we run around with the kids. It was truly great to see her with M & M.

Apples, Pumpkins and Tainows

On Sunday we packed the kids, Grandparents and Great Grandma in the Pilot and headed up to Burt's Pumpkin farm. This is our 3rd year in a row and we had a blast. The photo opportunities are endless which you will soon see. Enjoy the pictures and the videos. We did head to the Apple Orchard but were too exhausted to pick our own apples, so we just cheated and bought some. We rounded out the day at Poole's BBQ in Ellijay, GA. A great time was had by all!

Ouchy

Millie got a nasty gash on her eye when she accidentally walked in front of the swings. Mat came to daycare to make sure she was okay. It swelled a bit but since then, it has looked better and better each day.

Fall Festival

The school had a Fall Festival today. The kids had a great time stopping at all the stations to play games. They could dress up if they wanted. M & M were dress appropriately of course. Click here to see the pictures. Millie had never had her nails painted. I think we might have to do this more often because she loved it! See the video!

bathtime

Even though it's a slightly creeping picture, Millie was very proud that she could dunk her hair, head and ears under the water.

out for a walk

I know my mom will love these pictures (wink wink)

More reading

Millie likes to read Milo stories. Her new thing is to grab Milo's face and yell "Look at Me!". Or she just yells directly at Milo. "Milo! Look at me!" She also likes to grab his hands and make him grab other things. For example what she is doing in this picture with her Mickey doll. Oh well, what are you gonna do.
