Heading to Kentucky

We went to my beautiful cousin Jennie's wedding this weekend. A 4.5 hour trip with just me and the kids (Mat went to Florida for the Gator game). These are iPhone shots of the weekend.

So we started out with a quick bath because Milo had a "little" accident in his crib.


So after getting started 2 hours late, we were on the road. We lasted about 1.5 hours of the trip talking and singing songs till Mommy needed a break. I asked if they wanted a DVD and they very eagerly agreed.

I wasn't sure how I was going to get Millie to the potty while Milo was sleeping. Wrangling two kids in a fast food bathroom sounded like a nightmare. So I came up with this solution. Portable potty! I was going to do it on the side of the road but with semi truck whizzing by, I was scared to even open my door. So, this was our compromise. Worked perfectly all the way up and all the way back.

We finally made it and in good time!


Millie was singing "we in Kentucky, we in Kentucky". I think she thought Kentucky was a store. We checked into the hotel and road the kids "time machine"

Milo trashed our room by taking every tissue out of the box.


My parents and C & C finally arrived and we went to dinner. We finished dinner with some tasty treats.








We burned off that sugar with a little night swimming. Millie looooooooooooooved the hot tub and didn't want to get out.


After the kids went to bed, Kari and I pretended we were in jr. high and I did her hair. She's pretty.

I know Milo is not looking and that is a bummer. But I think it's cute anyway.



I knew as soon as I took this picture, how great it was going to be. And it didn't dissapoint. This boy melts.my.heart.



Oh yes. Had to get one of these shots.



Mat and Millie were picking apples and I said, "Milo, can you sit right here?". He was playing with his Apple water bottle. He was talking...and then...all of a sudden...he looked at me...and gave me this face. He might be perfection.

PS: "Do not hasten to bid me adieu" might be the cutest words ever to come from a 3 year old!

"Mickey"

To say that we have been much more lax with the TV watching of Milo than we were with Millie, would be an understatement. As seen here. He regularly now grabs the remote and says "Mickey".

Field trip

One of our friendly neighbors donated a computer to Millie's classroom!!! They have been without and Mrs. Laura has lots of lessons that teach the kids skills on the computer. We were happy to have this addition to the classroom. Millie's class also went on a field trip to the Dekalb Farmers Market. Millie missed the last field trip because she was on vacation. Her first time on the bus and it seems like she liked it!

Music Class from 9/24

Still trying to recover from the "iPhone incident" in which some of my precious videos were deleted. So.

It seems Millie is getting the hang of the bike. But still asking pretty regualarly for a bike with wheels.

And finally here are the kids feeding the dog. Millie usually does it in record time however I think she knew the camera was rolling and was draaaaaaging it out. But enjoy. Milo even gets in on the action telling the dog to SIT! GO! It is amazing how he catches on to what we do daily. When we set the house alarm, he runs for the front door. When we yell BATH, he runs for the bath. When we go to feed the dog, he actually helps out!

Mat was gone this weekend so we had lots of playdates. This one was with the Damico's at a new park (to us). We had a great time followed by a delicious lunch!

Milo impressed us all the other day by standing successfully on one foot! He does it very quickly here. But enjoy the chaos that is...after dinner.



Also, if you yell "BATHTIME", Milo go tearing off towards the bathroom. And if you aren't watching him closely, he will hop right in fully clothed.

Facebook photo contest

I entered the kids in a Facebook photo contest for their little music class. The winner needs to have the most "likes" and you get free tuition for the next session! Certainly a great thing when you have 2 kids = 2 tuitions! Unfortunately, you have to "like" The Music Class before you "like" the photo. But you can "unlike" The Music Class immediately after and your vote will stick. Thank you for your votes!
