Crazy Train

new splashpad

Going to a splashpad or playground solo is no fun for that one parent. You have to be very alert and keep them both from getting hurt. I tried to snap a few pictures but here are the only two I got. Both of the backs of their heads. But I guarantee they have smiles on the flip side! We had a great time with our buddy Everett! This new splashpad is right down the street from us in a brand new park. Can't wait to go back!

Her day went a little like this

Mat and I were both able to take time off to spend with the birthday girl. We started off the day with a workout for Mommy and breakfast by Daddy. We did a quick photoshoot, click here.

After dropping Milo off at school, we headed to grab a smoothie at Arden's Garden. Photobucket

We took a cab to get our haircut at Piggytails
Photobucket

We picked out the world's most perfect pink cupcake at Cami Cakes
Photobucket

Mommy and Daddy got one too

Ate some lunch at Lottafruita. This was her choice as we were heading to another place and she saw, and rogonized this place and wanted to eat there.

Enjoyed a free popcicle

We all 3 took a nap

We went to pick up Milo from school and headed to dinner

After dinner we headed home to have the perfect 3 year old birthday dessert

I think she really enjoyed her day and so did we. The thing she couldn't get over was why Milo was at school and she wasn't?? She talked and asked about him all day long. We keep pinching ourselves that we actually have a 3 year old little girl. She is so smart, pretty, sassy, outgoing, loving, humorous, empathic, and sweet as pie. We love her and our lives would be different without her in it.

Krogering

PhotobucketImmediately following our doctor appointment we headed to Kroger to restock our fridge from vacation. Since Milo got the go-ahead for soy milk, we loaded up. He seem to love his first sippy of the good stuff! My dream of no bottles and no formula is so close I can taste it!! And it tastes milky!

Allergy follow up

Milo had his follow up visit with the allergist. You can see the pricks on his left arm there. He was a trooper and so was Millie. Dr's offices are not all that fun when you are not the center of the attention. Photobucket

Millie got in on the action

Long story very short, he is still allergic to milk. No milk. No cheese. No butter. No yogurt. etc. etc. We go back for testing in 6 months.

Old Firetruck

We found this old firetruck one night while we were waiting for our dinner reservation. Can I pack this truck and ship it to my house for photoshoots? I didn't have my camera with me so these are iPhone pics (aka: poor quality).

Photobucket

Yes, I will be editing this picture to take out Millie's bookbag.

Fantasy Island

We hit up Fantasy Island one afternoon.
After showing up to an empty park (it hadn't opened yet) we took a walk around the neighborhood and stopped at a playground. When we went back the place was filled with people, the rides were going, kids were laughing and screaming. Millie ran in and was overwhelmed but it all. She started yelling "look what has happened! look what has happened!!" It was hilarious. Photobucket

Mat got tokens and we started to towards her first ride! She had been eyeing this particular ride since we arrived at the park. It was a Disney knockoff and she knew exactly which car she wanted to be in. She got in there, and was pumped. Then they loaded up all the kids. Then they unloaded all the kids that started crying. Then they gave back the tokens to the parents who's kids flipped out. It was just too much waiting. Too much time to think about things and she was outta there. She started crying and wanted out. FAIL.

So we started with a ride that daddy could go on as well. The train was a great first ride for Millie and Milo. After that, she was determine to do everything!

Photobucket

Here she is riding the fire truck. If you listen, that is her honking the horn. And honking the horn behind her. She was having a ball. Note: the twins sitting in front of her who are literally frozen in fear. PS: the mom of the twins asked the girl operating the ride if she could "slow it down". She couldn't.

Photobucket

Next up, some sort of Bee ride that Millie and I went on together. Then she wanted to try the swings but came up less than an inch too short. After some tears, we hit up the carousel. Grandpa Jon rode with Milo and Mat with Millie. I was on stroller and picture patrol.

Another ride on the service truck of her dreams.

It took some convincing but finally she was ready for the Ferris Wheel. Milo stuck with Papa Jon while we all took a spin. It is amazing how quiet it is up there in the air. She took it all in.

Yes there was a very dramatic breakdown when we had to leave but we would totally go back! Millie loved it and I am sure Milo will too one day. I had a GREAT time capturing the kids having a blast. For the ages of our kids, it was the perfect activity.
