Travel to NJ

I know I am a little behind but I am trying to catch up. Milo is growing by leaps and bounds and I can hardly keep up! But for now, let me back up a couple days. So we spent another fabulous Thanksgiving week with the Tainows. Knock on wood, I have been very blessed to get both Thanksgiving AND Christmas off. I guess after 10 years I have gained some sort of seniority around this place (thank goodness). So we headed to New Jersey for a fun filled week. Millie and Mat got bumped to first class on the flight. Millie kept entertained with Mickey Mouse on the iTouch. Don't feel bad for Milo and I cause we were right behind the first class. AND Milo (and I) slept. I had to work at 5am that morning so I was exhausted by the time we got on the plane.

When we got to Grandma Terry's, we had to remove some pillows...

Ellyn and Fran

Visiting with Ellyn and GG (Grandma Fran). Ellyn brought some great gifts for the kids. Millie played with this Make & Serve Apple Pie Set just about the entire weekend! Thank you Ellyn!

Leaves

The leaves are always better in New Jersey...

Roll Milo Roll?

There were ten in a bed and the little one said
"Roll over, roll over"
So they all rolled over and one fell out

He has been doing it at school but when asked to preform at home, Milo get a little stage fright!

Game Day Saturday

On Saturday we headed over to a tailgate. Check out the manicure Karla did on Millie's nails. So cute! She loved it! So tailgate. Then came back for nap. Introduced our babysitter to the kids. And took off for the disappointing game. It was rough. To see all the pictures, click here.

Florida bound

We went to Florida this weekend for the Gator Game. I took off the day and we left Friday morning. Scheduled departure 7am. Actual departure 8am. Considering nothing was packed the night before, I think we did a pretty decent job! One stop for pee/lunch break and both kids were seriously, angels. Having good travelers is such a blessing. We got there in time for naptime.

I had been looking forward to having dinner at Satchel's. This place was basically made famous because it was featured on ESPN. I saw it on ESPN myself and my mouth was watering! It look AMAZING! So Friday night, I called ahead for seating. 1 hour to sit down at a table. 1 hour to pick up your pizza. Yes, an hour to do both.

They must have a method to the madness. We called ahead and got an exact time to pick up our pizza...1 hour and 5 mins later. We grabbed our pizza and made friends with some folks who were leaving and scored us some seats clear in the back where it is first-come-first-serve. Live music. Several playgrounds at several of the buildings. We had a great time!

Amy's Book

My good friend Amy illustrated her first Childrens book called Tim's First Baseball Game. I already ordered lots as gifts for all my toddler friends. But here is the info in case you want to buy a gift for your special kid over the holidays!! Let the shopping begin!

The book can be purchased both on Amazon and Barnes & Noble. Just search for either amy faessler, susan o hara, or tim's first baseball game. Here are a couple pictures of Millie seeing the book for the first time. We had a little book signing here in Atlanta and Amy got a little teary seeing the book for the first time. Hopefully this is the first of many books for her!

Curriculum

Millie's teachers provide us with a curriculum every two weeks. It's fun to see what she is up to and some of the things we can work on with her at home. Also, I try and bring in whatever the class might need. I will try and scan these every two week so you can see what she is up to.

In the mean time, Milo is too big for Millie to actually hold now. So we just sit him beside her and hope he doesn't get injured in the process!

VOTE!

After the doctors appointment we headed over to the polls to do our American duty. I love doing this as a family although it is a bit more work keeping the kids quiet. Here is Milo enjoying his American right to vote.

Milo 4 month check up

Milo had a great 4 month check up!

Here are his stats:
Weight: 15 pounds 8 oz (which is in the 62%)
Height: 27 inches (which is in the 84%)
Head Circumference: 17 inches (which is in the 69%)

Note: both Mat and I were 16 pounds at 1 year of age!
Here are a couple things he is up to...

He is Mr. Smile. The kid is rarely not smiling.
He is drooling all over the place, but cutting no teeth.
Mr. Man got lots of shot but seem to fare well.
Millie even got her flu mist and another shot for her. She cried but then was pretty stoked about her pink band-aid and princess stickers.
Milo is still waking a couple times a night to feed. I am hope this month that changes to just one.

He is all about grabbing his feet and hands.
He is sitting up with a bit of support.
He grabs things and brings them to his mouth.
We haven't seen him roll much...yet.
He certainly responses to loud voices by crying. Especially when it is his big sister about 1 inch away from his face yelling about something. To her credit, she always apologizes with a "Sorry Milo" when Milo sticks out that bottom lips and starts screaming.
