Today was her week check up at Dr. D's. She is a week old!! Can't even believe it!! The doctor said she looked great. We checked out her little umbilical cord. She fixed it up a little bit. Can't wait till that thing falls off. Ew.
She is doing well sleeping and eating. She is up to 6 pound 10 oz. One more oz and we can skip a feeding at night. Woohoo! More sleep for mommy and daddy!!
Bad news on the family accommodations. The air conditioning blew out next door so the Kerns are moving over till it's fixed. Bad timing. Hopefully we can get someone to fix it tomorrow. Tomorrow the Kerns are heading to Georgia Aquarium. Should be a fun day for them!

Today I meet my cousins!
Today I got to meet my Great Grandma Norris, my Aunt Kari, my Uncle Jarrod and my cousins Chloe and Courtney!
Quiet house
It's just me, Millie and the dog. Siler is watching Millie's every move. She still doesn't know what to make of her. Millie is sleeping swaddeled in her car seat cause we took the swing upstairs last night. Mat is getting another hour of sleep. Mom and Dad are outside doing some more sidewalk work. Kari and family & my grandmother are on their way down. They should be here this evening.
Last night was better than the night before. She was up every three hours for a feeding and went right back to bed afterwards. Th swing helped. The fact that we all tried to keep her awake during the day helped. Mat and I were able to catch some more zzzzzz's. That helped. A nap is still in order for today.

Day 4...bath time
Today was a good day. We tried to keep Millie awake as much as possible. Hoping she will sleep better tonight. Mom and Dad left to go get the carpet remnent for Millie's room. We already bought it, it just needed to be bound.
But first, Millie got her first bath. She smells so good!!
Mom also did a little photo shoot with her until she dookied all over the blanket. Mat and I have decided to use the work dookie since the work poop or poopie is too annoying. But we are up for other suggestions if anyone has any.
After we cleared the room so we could lay the carpet, we needed some more hands. So Uncle Mo and Fluffy, Jose and Pavan all came over to help move around the room. They did it in about 2 seconds. Wonder if they could help lay the brick sidewalk as well! We all had pizza and just sat around and laughed.
Katie and Mike came over as well to meet Millie. I was too busy and forgot to snap any photos. They will be back soon for sure.
Hopefully tonight we will get a bit more sleep and Millie will be a happy camper!

Day 3...home from the hospital
We are home now, left the hospital today. Things are going well so far. We got a quick nap in this afternoon. Just taking them when we can. Mat's parents left today. My parents don't leave till mid-august so we are taking full advantage of that! They are such a great help.
My milk hasn't come in yet but nursing is going well so far. We even pumped enough so the nursery could feed her once last night. We we got a little bit more sleep. I know it won't last long.
I got a little misty eyed leaving the hospital. Guess it was all a little overwhelming. Driving home was pretty fun as well. So freakin' surreal. Mat and I both feel like we are kinda babysitting right now. Tonight might be a different story.
Our dog Siler is adjusting. We don't really know what Siler is thinking about all this but she is really interested in her. I, for some reason, thought Siler wouldn't really care about the baby but she seems really interested! Any tips in this area? I was in the bathroom and Siler was in there with me (potty level is perfect for some good doggie scratching) and the baby started crying. Siler's body started shaking which was really weird. Maybe she just has to get used to the baby and all of Millie's new sounds.
It's 6:15 and why am I awake?
Well, hope you have been enjoying the pictures and the video. We have had fun taking them! Technology is certainly amazing. Things are going well so far. I am up and around, feeling sore but good. Right now, I am waiting for them to bring Millie back to the room for the day. It's 6:04am. Mat is sleeping right now. We are trying to catch some Zzz's when we can. All 4 grandparents are here in town and we enjoyed visiting with them yesterday. They will be back today unless we get released sooner than they get here! I haven't had to change a single diaper yet. Mat has been so helpful and willing to do whatever. Fetching me new, fresh and cold water is a job in itself! I haven't really cried since she was here. Too much going on I supposed. I did get a little misty when the 3 of us were alone and he was holding her...belly to belly. She is so tiny compared to us...duh. It's just so strange to know that they are going to let us outta here without adult supervision. Yikes!
I am pretty much hungry all the time. I eat anything in front of my face I feel like! But that's okay for now. I am enjoying it while I can! Other than that, I am doing well.
Millie is doing really well as far as we know...and what do we really know!
Kari and family are coming down on Saturday. I believe my Grandma Norris might be coming with them as well. Can't wait to see them!
Thank you for all of your warm wishes via phone, facebook, myspace, email. Your support is beyond words. We are very loved and we feel it!!

Still nada...
Okay, so it hasn't been 48 hours yet since I have had the eggplant...still no baby. Yesterday was a loooooooooong day. Mom and I ran so many errands that needed to be done. We were on our feet nearly all day but we got done what we needed to. Returns, purchases, groceries, bought a carpet rement for the babies room, etc. By the time I got home, I was exhausted. The baby wouldn't let up last night as I tried to fall asleep. She was doing the kick line while I was trying to get some rest. Not a good combo.
Mat and Dad stayed at home to work on the sidewalk. It's coming along very nicely. They have a little bit of work to do today before the bricks and sand get delivered tomorrow. The sidewalk is going to look amazing.
I don't feel any different as I have in the past. Just bigger. Probably heavier. Today is my official due date. Wonder if the baby is going to keep spinning over on the right? I'll keep you posted!

Mat likes his big tools!!!
My parents arrived yesterday and we put them right to work! Check out what fun things Mat and Dad are up to while I am at work!
3 days till my due date and...
So I went to the doctor today and I am not dialated AT ALL! My cervix isn't soft. Nada. Baby is head down but has been for awhile. My fluids are good. My blood pressure is good. They did an ultrasound and the baby looks good. We saw the baby practicing breathing so that is good as well. According to the doctor, that means that she isn't in any stress. Good, good, good. Soooooooooo, our doctor gave us the option to do whatever, whenever we wanted. If I don't go myself over the weekend, they will induce me next week. It's fine with me. We just need to figure out when! Quickie and I are going to think about it today. My doctor said that we could call her back whenever we wanted. My parents drove down from Ohio yesterday so we are all kinda just sitting around waiting. Come on Baby T!!

Mom and Dad are on their way down! They are in currently in London, KY. They have about 5 hours left. They will probably beat me home since I don't get outta work till 6pm.
I started having the braxton hicks contractions yesterday. I could have had them before and didn't know it but I noticed them yesterday. Mat insisted that they were regular contractions and was timing them and everything. I got out the baby book this morning and explained to him the difference. It was funny cause last night he went to bed thinking we might have this baby overnight. Ha!

I am so boring!
I could be the most boring pregnant person ever! I am still here!!! I don't have my appointment till THURSDAY. It seems an eternity away! I have had no cramping, contractions or anything over the weekend. I am so boring! I actually feel absolutely fine. Lots of activity before I go to bed. On Saturday night, I had a hard time falling asleep because the baby was moving all around. But sleep always finds me so I was knocked out after awhile.
On Saturday I did go swimming for the first time. Amy and Amanda took care of all my prego needs so I didn't need to actually exit the pool. It was really fun. I probably could have hung out in the pool all day/night. As soon as I left, I started fretting about "what if my water broke in the water and I didn't know it". I don't think that is the case!
On Sunday I went for a MUCH need pedicure. Angie (Jose's go-daughter) and Pavan met me for a pedi in Midtown. It felt so good and I am so happy I got it done before Baby T.
This morning, Mat and I went for a 45 walk this morning. I might try and do the same thing again this week. Not every day. Maybe I need to get one of those bouncy balls! We go to the doctor this week so I will keep you posted!
Oh crap, does that say 6 days?!?!?!? Silly spinning baby!
