You know you are going to have a good day when a coworker gives you a freshly picked one of these! After a long week of work, a Sweetwater Brewery Tour was the perfect ending! On the way to dinner... Drinks, dinner, dessert

A good day

It's a good day when you start off with these two pictures! I was cleaning out our room and I found a really special letter from Grandma & Grandpa Beckett. It was just a nice note she wrote me and I will cherish it. On this day, I heard there was lots of singing and dancing going on in Grandma's room. So glad they got some special time with Great Grandma Beckett! Back at home, we are continuing to conquer our list! And finally we had some visitors in town! So blessed to have these two in my life!! Kelly and Alex were in town for a wedding but they came down early so we could visit! We started off at Salt Yard which is a new restaurant that just opened two weeks ago.

Reason number....

Reason number 290,209,348,902,483,904 for Grandparent Camp! This picture makes me smile everytime I see it! Meanwhile I hurt my ankle Tuesday at Crossfit. First injury in 2 years. I just rolled it, I'll be fine. Mat and I still managed to get to yoga and then devoured THIS!

To do list continues

#2. up on the list is cleaning out our attic crawl space. Here are the newly labeled tubs that are going back in...in time order of course. #3. The reason for all of this organization is to find a permaninte home for my photographey props which has taken over our bedroom. And here is the final resting place.

While we are knee deep in cleaning/purging...the kids are up to their typical antics This has to be one of the best videos in ages. I could watch it on repeat.

Grantparent Camp

The day has finally come!!! It's Grantparent Camp!!! The timing was perfect as my parents were just returning from Florida. The kids hopped on a plane and were Ohio bound by the afternoon. I can't tell you how lucky we are to have parents who are able AND willing to do this every year. I know my kids look forward to it every year. I remember my many years of Grandparent Camp so so fondly. I am just happy my kids can spend this special time with their Grandparents, great-grandparents, cousins, etc. 3 weeks is the longest they have ever been away but the memories they are making are priceless and worth every moment away. Back at home, Mat and I have a VERY long list of "to-do's" before the kids return. #1. Attend to our very neglectied bedroom. Yep, it is all trash. And lots of it! Purge purge purge was the theme of the day. Our donation pile kept growing and growing

Pool playdate

Millie had a playdate with her friend Anna, so we had some fun times with Milo. It is amazing being a family of three. I picked up my 50mm lens and played a bit. I still don't think it is working correctly but we will see. Later that afternoon we had a playdate with some old friends. This is a group of moms I met at a Breastfeeding Support group shortly after Millie was born. We have stayed friends over these past 5 years and try and get together every now and then. Our group has certainly grown as almost everyone has a second child now! This time it was a POOL playdate which the kids loved!! Some went down backwards And laying down And sitting up And they all went over and over, and over, and over, and over, and over again.

A Friday

Millie really wanted to have "those long skinny noodles" for dinner. Do my kids not know what Spaghetti it is! #badmom1 Then off for a treat! Did you know Friday was "National Donut Day"? I don't know if this is a made up holiday but everyone in Atlanta was pretty psyched about it. So we headed over to the original Krispy Kreme store for some melt-in-your-mouth goodness. Do my kids know what donuts are? Apparently not because Millie and Milo were raving about these “ "Bagel with sprinkles”. #badmom2. We got there and had to stand in a big ole line. We watched the donuts go up and down. Some were more surprised that others. My warm "Bagel without sprinkles"

A Thursday

My daylilies from Ohio are rocking it this summer! Milo's classmates BatMen Mommy and Daddy had a little date night. We drank this. Saw him, Tracey Morgan. And munched on this non-paleo yummy-ness!

A wednesday

In the morning I gave blood (iPhone pic) And this was my view (iPhone pic) That afternoon the kids wanted a lesson how how gas gets into the car (iPhone pic) We came home and had some sprinkler time After Daddy got home we had some dinner out on the back deck. The kids loooove eating out there. And so do I, as long as the mosquitoes are not going crazy. Still eating Paleo! And if you think we make a separate meal for out kids? We don't. Who has time to make a second meal?!
