Mom came to visit us for her Spring Break and boy did we have a good time! I usually feel like a reset button has been pushed when she is here. Lucky for her, I got my new camera in the mail and was busy snapping all week. These are unedited but you get the point, day 1.
Well, my 6 week challenge is over. How did I fare? Pretty well I think. Mat is proud of me which makes me smile :-)
Here are my stats after the challenge:
lost 12.8 pounds
lost 3.35 pounds of muscle (which is to be expected)
lost 9.45 pounds of fat (ew!)
lost 2.3% body fat
I improved my Back Squat by 20 pounds (from #155 to #175)
I shaved a little over 2 mins off my WOD which was the following
For time:
800m Run
40 KBS - Kettlebells swings with a #26 bell
40 Box Jumps (20″)
40 Situps
40 Push Press with a #35 bar
40 Back Squats with a #35 bar
40 Burpees
I am pleased for sure and have come a long way! But I still have a ways to go!
I can do this now...
And I can do this...
And after 2 babies, I can finally do this...
Me, hard at work...
Thank you for all your support!!!
Thank you to my friends with lots of good recipes to share.
Thank you to my parents/sister who ate and made all Paleo foods while visiting. Who changed restaurtants just so I could eat correctly. Who made me Paleo snacks/food for my solo 1200 mile weekend road trip so I didn't have to eat crappy fast food.
Thank you to my kids who ate all my crazy foods and seemed to enjoyed it.
Thank you to my husband who also ate everything and was very supportive as I make this part of my lifestyle...no matter how much I keep complaining.
My hometown blew me away by actually voting for the fabulous kids of this city. As a daughter of two teachers, I have heard/experienced many school levy's fail. This was finally something good for the kids! Although the schools will be built after Chloe has moved on, Courtney will hopefully get to be in one of the new school that will be built with this money.
My photography bestie Jen did an amazing job choreographing and planning this entire dance in just 9 days. Here is the link to the dance. And then my kids watching/dancing to the kids on the TV. Their favorite part? Of course the cheerleaders.
Wonderful find by Mama D! Uh, Milo knows his letters! Not all of them but several of them! **winner of the "worst mom award" for not knowing this information***
