Playdate Friday (G3)

On Friday it was babies babies babies in South Florida!

Michell and Edison Garzon had 3 precious gifts on November 25th. Edison, Elisabeth and Elanya (we nicknamed the G3) were born and were quite the hit! The media went crazy when they found out triplets (the first to be born at Memorial Hospital Miramar) were going home Christmas day. CBS, NBC and telemundo all showed up at the hospital and interview Michell and Edison. Click here to see one of the clips. Anyway, the Tainows finally got to meet the G3!

I promise I don't have a favorite (wink wink) because they are alllllllll sooooooooooo sweeeeeeeeeet! We came in and Elanya was giving us big smiles! She was just talking talking talking and it was seriously like she was answering our questions in baby language! She is just a little chatter box and a little flirt too! She loved smiling at us and Millie. She has these amazing blue eyes that are just piercing. Edison was so much bigger than I imagined! They all are actually bigger than I thought they would be!! I was really really surprised! But Edison has this rolly polly middle section up to his shoulders and then he has these tiny little legs! His coloring is much darker than the two girls. He looks alot like Edison's daddy. He is very curious and just looks around taking it all in. He is a very pleasant baby. Little Elisabeth is just the calmest, quietest, easiest baby ever. She just looks at you and studies you. She is very laid back and easy going. She doesn't fuss or get upset. She is just chill. She looks just like Michell (I think) and is going to be beautiful just like her Mommy. It was so nice to see and hold them. Nothing hold Michell and Edison back. They are out and about all the time which is sooo great! Need to run to the store for milk, load em up! Michell brought all the babies over to Allison's by herself! One baby is sleeping, she is playing with the other two. Then another one falls asleep and she rotates. She rocks as a mommy!

Sedar Thursday

We had a lovely Seder at the Tainow's Thursday night. It was my first and it was alot of fun. We had books and sang songs. Jill and Mat did an excellent job describing the details of the Seder. We really enjoyed ourselves and our fabulous family. So many friends and family came over that we almost didn't fit! But we did and it was a great time. The abundance of food was plenty and I finally got to taste the infamous Gilda brisket I had heard so much about. Here are some of my favorite pictures but to see all the pictures from Thursday night, click here.

Thursday Poolside

Thursday was a great day full of family. After my workout in the morning (3 miles and 22 flights of stairs) we heading to Gilda and Harold's for the day. We hung out, went to the pool, (some of us) helped them prepare for that evenings Seder. I have added some of my favorites here, but to see some poolside pictures, click here.

Wednesday in FLL

It's been awhile since I am posted and I am sorry about that. Things are very busy and we have been traveling. But I am going to try and get caught up here so bear with me!

Last weekend we took our first family vacation to South Florida to see friends and family. Millie is very verbal and wiggly right now so she was the same on the plane right there. Luckily we moved to a 3 seat row so we had an extra seat for her to hang out. I was exhausted from a late night and working early so I slept for a bit while Mat entertained. He does a great job entertaining!

I have to tell you a bit about myself even though this is Millie's blog. I started a bootcamp on April 6. No real goal in mind, just an excuse to get my butt moving on a daily basis. My friend Jackie and I had been going everyday and I didn't want my workouts to stop because I was on vacation. I paid for this thing and I was going to do it and all the homework that is assigned. Homework for this week was to do 250 situps daily. Yes, daily. In addition to your Monday-Friday workouts, they want you to workout 3 more times in that same week. Holy Moly! So since I had to work 6a-2pm on our Wednesday travel day, I utilized my time wisely by working out in the airport. Yes the Atlanta airport! If you have ever been to the Atlanta airport, it's huge. It has a train that takes you to each terminal but it also has a walkway that goes in between each terminal. How long is that terminal? One mile. So I ran down and ran back (2 miles total). Did some wall-sits and then some stairs. I was sweaty and beat! It was a good time and I didn't get too many stares from people.

After we arrived in Fort Lauderdale we headed over to Roy's house to pick up some Pack n' Plays. It's very helpful to have friends where you are going so you can use their stuff! We got on PnP for Mat's grandparents house and one PnP for the condo where we were staying. We were about to hang out for a bit and see little Blake terrorize the Harris household. He is a doll! We got to hang out with the Grandparents long enough to create this master piece on Gilda/Harolds computer! Their two favorite Great Grandchildren in some ridiculous outfits! Yes, it took 4 of us but we got it and hope they are happy! To see a few pictures that I took on Wednesday, click here.

Millie helps Daddy (Video)

We tried to install the baby gates around the house but sometimes Ikea should give directions WITH words. Not everything can be explained with drawings!! Needless to say, the gates aren't up and Millie is a very good stair climber! Enjoy the video...

Sunday at E11

How about this for Sunday's Easter Braves game? A big thanks to Pavan and Jose for finding this suit for Millie! We had a nice time hanging out with them at Engine 11. To see pictures from Sunday, click here.

A date with Urban

On Saturday night we went to a Gator Gathering with Urban Meyer. For those of you who don't know, Urban Myer is the head coach for the University of Florida football team. It was just Urban and his 400 closest Atlanta Gator friends. We had a great time and Millie had fun exploring every inch of the Perimeter Marriott carpet. Urban gave a rousing speech which really got you in the mood for football. As he usually does, he goes through all the new players and recruits and talks about how everyone is doing in practice. He sometimes takes questions but he didn't this year. After the speech, we all get in line to have some things signed by Urban. For some reason Urban did not want to sign Millie which Mat was really looking forward to! Oh well, maybe next year. Urban claims to still have the Easter bunny picture in his office. Although we need someone to find out if he is telling the truth! He did say the exact same thing last year! Enjoy the pictures!

Callaway on Saturday

On Saturday, Mom, Millie and I headed down to Callaway Gardens in Pine Mountain, GA. The azaleas just started to bloom and it was a perfect sunny day. We walked all around the garden but the primary mode of transportation around Callaway is by bike. It was really beautiful there and I hope we can go back. In two weeks, I can only imagine what the flowers are going to be like.

We took some amazing pictures so I hope you take some time to look through. But if you don't, I posted some of my favorites here. Take a look at the close up of Millie's face, you can see me taking her picture in the reflection of her eye.

And check out those turtles! All sunning themselves along a stick.

Millie's new rides

Mom suggested that we bring out the umbrella stroller and after checking out the weight requirement, realized that Millie was well over the limit! So we gave not one, but two umbrella strollers a test run. You can probably tell which one is Mat's favorite! We got lots of use out of them while Mom has been here. Millie seems to really like them!

Arty again!

Millie got her "art on" again on Friday when she and Mom took a trip to the Atlanta Civic Center to see the King Tut exhibit. They both seemed to love it! I will have to check it out myself. Apparently Millie is the perfect date to any art function so call her if you need her!

Bathtime favorites

Some of my bath time favorites from last night...

Millie gets Arty!

Mom & Millie headed to the High Museum of Art today and had a great day hanging out at the museum. I joined them after work and we went to the "The First Emperor: China's Terracotta Army" exhibit.

It was a GREAT exhibit and I hope you get to see the soliders as well. It's a very interesting story. The terracotta figures, dating from 210 BCE, were discovered in 1974 by some local Chinese farmers. Over 8,000 soldiers were found and each soldier is different. From the build to the facial expression, each is different. They range in height (6ft–6ft 5in), according to their role, the tallest being the generals. Each soldier had a different piece of actual armor in his hands. The figures found include warriors, chariots, horses, officials, acrobats, strongmen, and musicians. Current estimates are that in the three pits containing the Terra Cotta Army there were over 8,000 soldiers, 130 chariots with 520 horses and 150 cavalry horses, the majority of which are still buried in the pits. I snapped a couple pictures before the "museum police" caught me. Unfortunately I didn't get too many. After the museum, we appropriately got Chinese take out and went home. I got a new flash for my camera and gave it a whirl last night at bath time. To see pictures from Thursday, click here.

Ring my bells! (pictures and video)

Millie's new smile

Today Mom & Millie went for a big ole' walk around our neighborhood and Grant Park. It has rained alot this week. Good for Georgia. Bad for Mom and Millie. Poor Mom comes to Atlanta for the week and it rains every day! Good thing she has a new rain coat! Despite the rain, they have made it out and about everyday which has been lots of fun for the both of them.

It could be the new front teeth coming it but ever since that first tooth started to appear, Millie has a new smile. She kinda scrunches up her face and breathes in and out really fast. It's hilarious and you can't help but laugh! Click here for more pictures from yesterday! She had a great time pressing her face into the glass door. Mom and I couldn't stop laughing! This Easter egg matched her outfit perfectly!
