With our travels to and from (and then to/from again) NJ, we didn't have enough time to go up to North GA to cut down our tree this year. But luckily we found our perfect tree right down the road. And yes, it was like 70 degrees. Because it was so warm, I thought I would have a little fun!

There is nothing quite like this family I married into. I know I talk so much about them but they never cease to amaze me. Their open communication with one another, their complete honestly, their never ending laughter, their loud voices and arguing, their perseverance through so many tribulations...they are the true meaning of family. I have never been a part of something like I saw on Friday night. I will never forget seeing an entire family gathered together in such a way. I was in awe and it was breath taking. A family, rallying around a fallen soldier, supporting one another, listening to each other, talking openly and honestly about some tough situations. It was truly amazing and I am blessed to be a part of this family I love so deeply. It was a weekend, day, and hours that I will never forget. Say a few prayers tonight for this family, my family. They could use it.

Turkey Day 3 - Giving Thanks

A very special part of the day where we go around and tell what we are thankful for. There were happy and sad tears from everyone. And at the bottom here, you can see Emily and Jeremiah telling everyone that they are expecting a new baby in June! A surprise to us all! Howie's face gives me chills. We couldn't be happier!
