Transition
The second night she cried for less than 5 mins.
The third night there were no tears at all!
So happy this transition has been nice and smooth. So far no problems at all! In the mornings, we hear Millie get out of bed and start playing. We try to get downstairs before she starts crying out to make sure she knows that we aren't going to leave her in there forever. So far, it's working out great! We are very lucky to have a good little girl.

Big Girl Bed
We finally got the bed rail in. Tonight we gave it a try. Millie cried out for less than 10 mins before she passed out. Millie is such a good sleeper that we are hoping this won't be too big of a transition for her. I have heard that sometimes it takes up to two weeks. We are hoping it won't take her that long. She seems pretty comfy in this picture!

Spending time with V
The Damico family is very generous. Well generous isn't really the word because they are something more. But in the end, they are great great friends. Every week Jackie sends out and email with all of her meals listed for the week. She invites friends and families over to eat dinner and spend some time. It's a great opportunity for Vince and Millie to get together and for some mommy time too. Mat and I have been over several times. Millie and I usually go over when Mat is working in the evenings. Anyway, last night was no exception as the kids had so much fun! Enjoy the videos!

Tubes are In!
Everyone was up early this morning and Millie was her happy self. She chatted all the way up to the dr's office. She was still in PJ's when we got there and so were all the other kids there. She jumped right in to play with all the other kids and found a friend in Charlie. Charlie was there getting tubes for the 3rd time. Hopefully that won't be the same story for Millie!
Anyway, they took us back and did all the vitals. Lots of nurses and the anesthesiologist came in and spoke to us. Mat got all dressed in his gown and took her back. He waited until she was under and then left. We moved over to waiting area for seriously under 10 mins. The Dr came out and told us everything went great. Another nurse came for us and took us to the recovery room where Millie was already awake and asking for her Daddy.
She was very happy and a little off balance but all and all, everything went well! We don't give her a bath tonight but as of tomorrow, everything is back to normal. Can't wait to see if these tubes help her with her little ears. We are hopeful!
These videos were all taking before surgery in the waiting room. To see the rest of the pictures, click here.

Surgery is set
Millie will be getting her tubes Monday morning. No food/drink after midnight. I think it might be a long morning. When Mil is hungry, she is HUNGRY! So we will see. But I am sure she is going to do great. Jeevan had the same surgery and was back to daycare by the afternoon. I have no doubt that Mil will do great! Keep you posted!

Nightime
I know this is hard to see but hang in there...It's really funny. Millie gets in some awkward positions but this is classic! Is she ready for the big girl bed?! We think so! Mom and Dad ordered her a bed rail which we are waiting for it to come in. Once that gets in, we are moving her over! I think she will do great!
New gift
Millie's Hanukkah gift arrived from Jon and Terry! It's a cute little stool with her name on it. The letters of her name come out like a puzzle. She is enjoying it...sitting on it, standing on it, knocking it over, using it as a catapult!
