The day started here for breakfast And the day was awesome because it looked like this But boy was it HOT! So we drank lots of water And looked cool in these. We got there in time for the dog show Then we flew over to the Cecil B. Day Butterfly Center Even one landed on ME! There was a HUGE crack of lightening right by the butterfly house. And as we drove back to the hot air balloon location, we saw this! But crews were arriving on the scene as we left.

Dragon*Con

Dragon*Con comes just once a year. You can read about it here. Last year there was 52,000 participants. Yes, that is a ton of people coming into our city. Dragon*Con begins with a parade through downtown Atlanta which featured thousands of costumed participants. This is the first time went to check out the parade which was pretty awesome. Of course my kids were in costume but boy, it was SO hot!!!

Close-Up Portraiture / August Monthly Challenge (Blog Circle)

This topic was bad timing as the next lens I really want to get is a macro lens. But I think I did okay with my 50mm. I kept wanting to get closer but was really limited by my lens.
