Tuckered out on the playground. When I asked her if she was tired, she said no, that she was just dead. Interesting. I think 3 days of no naps and late nights took it's toll.

Duck Parade

Happy 9th Birthday Sweet Chloe!

A very special little girl turns 9 years old today! I remember the day she was born like it was yesterday. Her mommy carefully planned her birth so I could be there. Her pink/red hearts outfit she wore on the way home. She was the most beautiful little girl ever...and still is.

Happy Birthday Chloe!!

Lights, Motors, Action! Extreme Stunt Show

Another fantastic show we caught at Disney Studios. Here is the background on the show (cause I am lazy and don't want to write all the details). I missed the entire first segment (on video) because I was in awe of the cars and the skill of these drivers. Awesome and the kids loooved it!

Experience the excitement as cars accelerate towards each other and swerve away at the last second, motorcycles smash through windows, Jet Skis leap out of the water, a stunt person falls off a 5-story building and massive fireballs explode in the air. See all of these Hollywood-style stunts performed live, right before your disbelieving eyes!

Plus, beginning in June 2011, Lightning McQueen joins the fun with a very special cameo appearance.

The Show: During this high-octane 33-minute stunt show, you'll learn how Hollywood stuntmen choreograph and film complex vehicle stunts with amazing split-second precision. The stunts are filmed and played back on a massive video screen, so you can see how they all come together to create action-packed chase scenes.

But there aren't any fancy high-tech special effects here, just old-fashioned revving engines, squealing tires, pyrotechnics and unbelievable driving skills.

The Cars: The featured vehicles are highly-modified Opel brand cars. Though they appear to be stock, they have some secret movie magic under the hood. Propelled by 1,300 cc, 150-horsepower motorcycle engines, the cars have a unique gear system with 4 forward gears and 4 reverse gears. In addition, they weigh less than half as much as a standard production car and are reinforced with rally-car roll cages for safety.

Origins: Lights, Motors, Action! Extreme Stunt Show is inspired by the smash-hit Moteurs… Action! Stunt Show Spectacular from Walt Disney Studios Park at Disneyland Paris.

Chef Mickey Breakfast. They take allergies very seriously here. These are Milo's dairy free Mickey pancakes which he had made just for him!

Festival of the Lion King

Each Disney show is like a broadway production! Amazing singers, costumes, dancing, props, etc. The kids (and we) love them all! It's dark so you can't really clearly see Millie bouncing around like a pogo stick.

Here is some background on the show:
Festival of the Lion King brings the familiar characters of the Disney animated classic film The Lion King from the movie screen to an action-packed stage at Disney's Animal Kingdom theme park. This scheduled 30-minute big-as-Broadway live show combines the pageantry of a parade with a tribal celebration.

Through music featured in the film, high-energy dances, and even fire juggling, Disney Characters Timon, Simba, Pumbaa, Rafiki, Zazu, Mufasa and more team up with a traveling band of "African tribal performers" to tell the tale of a lion cub who can't wait to be king.

Festival of the Lion King is performed in an air-conditioned theater-in-the-round with stadium seating. Take a seat and be prepared to be dazzled by the puppetry, pageantry, colorful costumes, spectacular singing and gymnastics—keep a look out for the balletic birds and acrobatic monkeys!

Act Like an Animal at Festival of the Lion King: During the Festival of the Lion King show, you're encouraged to be part of the action. Each of the 4 sections around the stage takes turns acting like a giraffe, a warthog, a lion or an elephant. Did you know giraffes make the same sound as sheep: bleeet! Get caught up in the fun—play and sing along with the life-sized critters and Disney Characters as they interact with the audience.

Hakuna matata, no worries, if you don't know the words to the songs sung during Festival of the Lion King, your animal guide will teach you your part in the great "Circle of Life."

V-day preview

Who are these little cuties!?!? I had my first un-official KTP mini-session. I have to thank our host and prop provider Jackie. I want to thank Meggan, our prop provider and set designer/creative director. I want to thank Katie, prop provider and set coordinator. We had a great time making all the kids giggle!

Disney Parade

You might want to turn down the speakers beacuse this is loud! But seriously, it was THIS LOUD! I seriously teared up just watching the kids go bonkers! I was taking it all in so I didn't get much video but you get the point. Guess this is what Disney is all about!

To see an additional video, go to Mat's Facebook page. For some reason the file was not able to be uploaded correctly. Enjoy!

Thursday, leaving for Disney

Here is Mr. Talking Milo. He actually has quite a bit to say when Millie isn't around! Just these past week or 2 he is stringing together words to make some fabulous sentences. Sooo cute!

Telling the kids about Disney wasn't *quite* the reaction we expected but they still seems somewhat excited. We spent several follow hours telling Millie that we weren't going to a Gator game but actually going to a PLACE called Disney. It was very confusing for a 3.5 year old. We will have to explain this all again once Milo starts remembering memories. You can hear Milo yelling "Clubhouse! Clubhouse!"

Picture time (from October 2011)

I have taken 2 classes, that I loved, to help me tune my skills in photography. The 3 teachers are wonderful and have become friends. Back in October, they were looking for some last minute volunteers as models because some other models backed out. I happily offered my kiddies and we spent an afternoon getting thier picture taken. As a thank you, they send you some of the files taken by one of the professionals. It's been awhile but Elizabeth finally sent me the pictures of the kids. Click here if you want to purchase any of them yourself! Amazing how much the kids have changed in just a few short months!

PS: I had no makeup on and was not prepared to be in any of these!! Also, I wasn't sure how to dress them. Good thing Millie still fits in a year old dress/tights! They were channeling their inner BUCKEYE!

100th day of school

Never knew it until this month but apparently, this is a big deal! The kids made Pecan pancakes from the pecans they found in the playground. They also had a big party at the school.

superbowl sunday

One of our favorite videos for the car. Wonder what these videos actually look like? We have never seen them!

The kids and I had a "special" dinner which means we get to eat in front of the TV. Mostly because Momma had a long photography day and wanted to watch the Superbowl and unwind! I was pumped for the halftime show and so were the kids. They loved it! Millie requested that we watch it twice and then wanted to watch it more the next day!

Milo counts

He has been doing this for awhile but I haven't had my camera ready. I have heard him go as far up as 7...then jumps to 9 and 10! Smart boy!
