Homecoming Weekend

I am behind and it's a little overwhelming. Honestly, I am trying to catch up but it's not easy. Hang in there family and friends!

This past weekend we went to Gainesville to celebrate Florida's Homecoming. This was the first parade for the kids and they loved it! It was so fun to watch them, watching the parade.










Millie went to her first Gator game.


But first we went to the Gator Walk




then we saw the band




then we headed over to the Alumni events




then went over to meet the cheerleaders and dance team. she was a bit star struck hence "the face"








and then finally, FINALLY, got to meet Albert and Alberta




Followed up by the actual football game time in the Champions Club

Movember

For the record...they are actually wearing the stick on mustaches given to me by Matthew Mochow! They will do just about anything for the rare juice box!

Christmas in October?

It was chilly this night but this is a little crazy.

Milo is wearing Millie's old PJ's that are too small for him.

Millie is wearing a set of hand-me-downs PJ's that are supposed to be for Milo. Also too small for Millie. Despite the happy faces in this picture, both were too uncomfortable to sleep and Milo had unzipped and wiggled out of his soon after bedtime

I lay out M & M's clothes every night so Mat can easily get them dressed in the mornings. There is not much discussion about the outfits. Sometimes Millie prefers to wear a certain color and I accommodate. But 99.9% of the time, she wears whatever I lay out for her. We created a sticker chart for her. If she gets dressed, by herself, without crying, she gets a sticker. This weekend, Millie filled up her sticker chart (20 times) and we headed to Target so she could pick out a toy.



And then she did a Target "Tebow"


The other night I hadn't laid out clothes yet. We walked in to check on them before we went to bed and Millie had laid out her own outfit.


Complete with socks in her shoes.


And she had laid out Milos outfit.


But I added some peices for warmth


And just for fun, here they are sleeping

Bedtime stories?

Not really. Just watching a video from the Animal Safari trip. As nice as (I think) this blog is, I am fairly certain the kids don't know it exhists. I will share it with them one day. And years down the road, they might look back and enjoy seeing daily update about what they have been up to. Maybe not. Maybe in a fit of teenage rage, Millie will force me to take it down. But until then, I will keep blogging and sharing our lives with you.

This time it was Milo's turn. No nap and then he fell asleep in the car on the way to the Halloween party, then we woke him up and he was UNHAPPY!

Animal Safari

We have been before but this time the Navarros joined us. We had a great time despite all the screaming/crying/whining (by the Tainow children only) you will hear on the videos.

Millie had another field trip today. They went to Chastin Park which is in the Buckhead area.

Haircuts

Look who got a real haircut this weekend! Yes, I saved his hair from his Mom cut over the summer but this was an actual cut.He was such a good boy and looks adorable.
