New couches!

Lots of new changes with the house and this was the icing on the cake! We have been looking for couches for awhile and haven't found any that we liked. Mom, Dad, Kelly and I found these couches at American Signature and knew right away, these were for us. We didn't lose out on seating. They were leather. They were big and comfy! Out with the old couch and in with the 2 new full size couches! So far, we all really like them and we have been keeping Siler off of them with 2 scat mat's.

Bathtime with Daddy

First Day of School

Our daycare is like a school. All children move up to a new classroom on the first day of public school. All the kids and teachers move together. Millie is with most of the same kids but has one new teacher. Miss Laura and Miss Tawanna are her teachers this year. She is doing great with the potty training and is only using pull-ups at nap time. Diapers at bedtime. We went right into big girl underwear and haven't turned back. So far, she is doing a good job at school and at home! So here she is on her first day of school in her new classroom. I put her in lots of dresses with no underpant so she can get to the bathroom quickly and easily. However we realize that she can "hold it" pretty well! Click here to see pictures.

Here are more pictures of her after school that day. Love the t-shirt from Judith and Ivan!

August 6:
Doing really well moving his head from left to right and back while doing tummy time

August 8:
Started really pushing up with his feet. Millie loved to stand but Milo is just getting the hang of it now.

August 9:
Millie started singing songs that she would fill in words. For example, if you sing twinkle twinkle little _____ how i wonder what you ____. She would fill in the blanks.

She sings M-I-C-K-E-Y M-O-U-S-E and screams "donald duck" at the right times!

She says/sings her abc's pretty well

Kelly comes to visit

My friend Kelly came to help while Mat went to Costa Rica for a bachelor party. Millie and Milo were smitten with her right away. She was such a great helper with the house, lunches, dinner and keeping Millie entertained. They had all kids of fun at the aquarium and couch shopping! Mom and Dad stopped through on their way home to Ohio.

Again my parents leave and we are left with two kids...alone. Uh oh! Reality sets in. Do we know what we are doing? Who left us alone with these kids?! Crap. Well, let's give it a try. Can't thank my parents enough for coming and staying and helping us get settled in. That is a short sentence to describe all of things they did. I can't even tell you how much they did around the house (inside and out). We loved every minute!

Wordless Thursday

more

August 4:
Millie asks "Mommy why Milo ky-ing?"
"Hung-ie Mommie? Hung-ie?"
Yes, Millie. Milo is hungry.
"Milk?"
Yes, Millie. Milo wants milk.
We go through this conversation several times a day!

Millie's new thing is to say "oh! Ok" about anything.
No Millie, your shoes are on the wrong feet. "oh! Ok"
Millie we are going to leave for school now, "oh! Ok"
The tone and her expression are hilarious.
